One sentence
True stories, told in one sentence
I waited for him to hit me, instead he replied, "She'll probably cheat on you too."
I was 14 when I grasped my fathers lifeless hand and realized I didn't hate him after all.
I used to consider one of my biggest talents to be pill-swallowing because I could swallow 8-13 medicines and supplements at a time.
You have no idea how many people distrust your willpower until you tell them you decide to quit smoking.
The greatest sense of accomplishment happens when you walk into an emergency room with an injury, and the Doctor smiles and says, "I don't even want to know."
Right after my brother asked for a sign from God, I noticed someone had written the words "FUCK OFF" in the dirt.
I misspelled my own name yesterday.
I looked my mother straight in the eyes and told her I would never treat my kids the way she treated me, then I turned from the mirror and walked away.
Somehow, turning 21 in a country where you can already drink doesn't make it that special.
I found my notebook from second grade, and when I read my words, "It was a good thing when Abraham Lincoln invented Thanksgiving," I realized that second graders are genius... pure genius!
When the third test finally confirmed that I was pregnant, my strongest emotion was the righteous joy of having been right all along.
I stared into the eyes of a psychopath moments before he killed a girl, shot a dozen people, then took his own life.
After hearing from my mother that my father had lung cancer, the only thing I knew to do was light up a cigarette.
I still feel a tremor run through my body each time I walk downstairs, even though you survived the fall
If you've never seen your friend's baby girl wave goodbye to her daddy as his casket leaves the funeral, I want to be you.

Dupa o zi proasta ...
Ieri am avut o zi foarte proasta ... ciudat e ca am avut nevoie de doar o zi ca sa-mi dau seama cate lucruri nu perg prost intr-o zi ... lucruri la care nici nu te gandeai.
In continuare am pus unul din talk-urile care arata ca sunt lururi mult mai grele peste care unii oameni au trecut, ca in cele din urma o zi proasta e doar o zi proasta.

A better understanding ...
Am hotarat sa dedic un post stiintei moderne si fizicii moderne in principal ... mai exact tendintelor si ideilor inovatoare ce au aparut in acest domeniu.

Brian Cox ... un amesec sublim de fosta vedeta rock si actual fizician de renume mondial lucreaza momentan langa Geneva la CERN. Numit "rock star phisycist" pentru trecutul sau un pic mai tulburat s-a ocupat dupa 1997 cu popularizarea ideilor fizicii moderne, explicand coceptele acesteia pe intelesul tuturor.
Brian Greene ... in tinerete un copil minune al matematicii s-a orientat apoi spre fizica. Cu toate ca este cunoscut publicului pentru cartea sa The elegant universe el este cel mai mare sustinator al teoriei superstringurilor (superstring theory). Talk-ul de mai jos explica, intr-un limbaj accesbil tuturor de la ce a pornit si care sunt fundamentele pe care se bazeaza teoria superstringurilor.
Murray Gell-Mann ... supranumit "the man with five brains" este printre marii descoperitori ai particulelor elementare; atunci cand aceasta ramura a fizicii era doar la inceputuri el a fost unul dintre marii ei pionieri.
Stephen William Hawking ... in ciuda bolii pe care o are ( sau chiar multumita acesteia .. dupa spusele lui) este cel mai mare teoretician al fizicii moderne. Egalat doar de Einstein, Hawking a marcat profund intelegerea pe care o avem despre aproape orice aspect al fizicii.
Si ultimul, dar nici pe departe cel din urma, Sir Ken Robinson . Numit de toti "expert in creativitate" a fost printre primii care a observat ca distrugem creativitatea copiilor chiar prin sitemul care ar trebui s-o incurajeze ... si anume cel de invatamant.
